Clerkship Rotations

Clerks are encouraged to 'shadow' partners and lawyers on activities such as meetings with clients, barristers or witnesses; client phone calls; and court appearances. The program promotes a more hands-on approach to developing your knowledge and skills.

Corrs is a corporate law firm, acting for organisations, rather than individuals.  The firm works through three main operating divisions:

  • Corporate, Finance & Tax (Energy & Resources, Corporate Advisory, Banking & Finance and Taxation)
  • Property & Development (Property & Infrastructure, Environment & Planning and Construction)
  • Litigation and Workplace Relations (Litigation, Workplace Relations, Intellectual Property, Technology & Competition)

Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth: Clerks are invited to submit preferences and every effort will be made to allocate you to your preferred practice group for the duration of the program.

Sydney: The program involves a unique rotation system, whereby you will participate in three rotations, which gives you the opportunity to work across all divisions. Clerks are also provided with the opportunity to shadow lawyers undertaking a pro bono secondment to a Community Legal Centre.
