In September and October 2013, Survive Law conducted its first Australian Law Student Satisfaction Survey. Almost 2,200 students from law schools across Australia took part.

Overall Satisfaction Ratings

The ALSSS contained one question which asked students to provide an overall satisfaction rating for their law school. This was the final compulsory question in the survey. A seven point scale was used to give students a greater range of options, with 1 being ‘Very dissatisfied’ and 7 being ‘Very satisfied’. This question received 2,040 responses.

This section presents the average Overall Satisfaction Ratings for each law school. Below are the average ratings for law schools with more than 50 responses.

Satisfaction Ratings: Campus Life

The ALSSS asked participants to state how satisfied they were with campus life at their law school. Participants were able to choose from six responses ranging from Very dissatisfied to Very satisfied, with the sixth response being ‘Not applicable’.

The following figures present the average numeric rating for each law school. To calculate this rating, a value was given to each response option (ranging from 1 for ‘Very dissatisfied’ to 5 for ‘Very satisfied’). Results from participants who responded ‘Not applicable’ are excluded.
