“I became involved in the field of copyright by accident,” says Professor Michael Fraser. A friend told him of a consulting position at the Copyright Council, and as a young philosophy graduate and tutor, he jumped at the opportunity. “Apparently, they gave me the job because I was the only applicant wearing a tie!” says Fraser.  A man of humble middle-class beginnings, Fraser founded the Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) in 1986, funded by a $105,000 bank overdraft – leaving twenty-one years later a company worth millions.

It always happens. You get your subject outline and quickly scan through in the first week of semester. Everything seems straightforward. No need to start early. There's eight whole weeks before that paper is due. Future-Student can deal with that problem, Beginning-of-Semester-Student has to watch half a dozen episodes of How I Met Your Mother, right?
