Professional sportspeople, waiters, hairdressers, computer technicians and plumbers are among the list of professionals that Australians trust more than lawyers, this year’s Australia’s Most Trusted Professions survey has revealed.
After hovering around the early 30s for the previous few years, the legal profession had scraped its way into 29th position in 2012. But this year, lawyers tumbled to 39th position – just ahead of tow-truck drivers, CEOs, taxi drivers, journalists and talkback radio hosts.
The survey’s top spots went to emergency services, medical professionals, and pilots.
