“Don’t waste your time on Facebook. NOTHING EVER HAPPENS”, was one of the many tips law students offered their peers in this year’s Connecting with Law Film Competition.
The competition results were announced by Oxford University Press last week, with the videos How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Law by Jason Allen from Deakin University, and The 5 Senses to Studying Law by University of Wollongong students Ryleigh Bowman and Sam Lumb, sharing first place.
Sigrid Helland, also from UoW, was named runner up for her video, Song About Law.
Several entries were also highly commended:
Admissions – Jack Fitzgerald, Elise Cafarella, Jessie Richardson, Toly Shapiro, Esteban Ulloa & Liam Merrick (Deakin University)
Surviving Law School – Bronte Shaddock, Naomi Reiner, Emma Brown, Anna McDougall and Lauren McIntyre (University of Queensland)
Life and Law – Skye Roberts & Lachlan Roberts (University of Wollongong)
The winning and highly commended films can be viewed here.
