Australia’s Most Trusted Professions: How Lawyers Rated

Writer's picture: Survive LawSurvive Law

The annual Reader’s Digest list of Australia’s Most Trusted Professions has been released. As in previous years, paramedics, firefighters, rescue volunteers, nurses, doctors and pilots occupy the top spots on the 2014 list.

Lawyers came in at 36th, sharing the spot with tow-truck drivers, charity collectors and clergy. This moves the legal profession up three places from last year’s ranking of 39th.

Although not as high on the list as farmers, scientists, teachers, and the like, lawyers can still take heart from the fact that they finished ahead of radio talkback hosts, real estate agents and politicians.
