Poem: Pre-First Day Jitters

Writer's picture: Head EditorHead Editor

Maple Leaves

Are you starting uni tomorrow?

Feeling a tad petrified?

Don’t be, we know you’re going to be fantastic.

It’s Sunday and we were feeling a bit creative, so this pseudo-haiku is for all the new law students out there…

congratulations

we look forward to you

twenty seven clauses

a dotted line

no personal internet use

first and final warning

what if I slip up?

f.a.c.e. – reflexive

twenty two degrees

smiling cartoon sun

awkward box-man gait

regretting inexperience

is my nose too ruddy

are my glasses too indie

what if I call the client

sir instead of ma’am

what will be?
